Kinnaur: In Himachal Pradesh’s Kinnaur district, a mixer vehicle went out of control and fell into a 150 feet deep gorge on the banks of the Satluj river. Two youths are missing in the incident. Police reached the spot as soon as the information was received and the search operation is on.
The incident took place on Saturday evening at 7.30 pm on the Tangling link road near Shongtong. The missing youths have been identified as Rikhi Pariyar (26), a resident of Kishtwar in Jammu and Kashmir, and Kanya Lal (27), a resident of Mathura in Uttar Pradesh.
NDRF conducted search operation
Kinnaur SP Abhishek Shekhar confirmed the incident and said that the search operation is underway to find the missing youths. On Sunday, the NDRF team also reached the spot and started rescue work. The police have registered a case and the cause of the accident is being investigated. However, the exact cause of the accident has not been revealed yet.
