Online Attendance mandate in govt schools of Himachal; teachers and students must be on time

Shimla : Now there will be no excuse for coming late in the government schools of Himachal. The Education Department has issued instructions to the District Deputy Directors to make attendance mandatory through the Smart Attendance App. Now the attendance of teachers and students will be online.

After the successful trial in Sunni Education Block of Shimla, now the new system has been implemented in the entire state. As soon as the attendance is taken through the mobile app, the data of students and teachers will be transferred to the Vidya Samiksha Kendra.

Attendance will be recorded online from June onwards
Now teachers and students will have to come on time in government schools of the state. Their attendance will be recorded through the mobile app. Time and location will come automatically in this. This new system will not be strictly implemented during May. Although all the school in-charges have been asked to implement the new system from Friday itself, they are being given a few days to understand it. From June, attendance will be recorded online only. For this, training has been given to the concerned teachers.

Education department will monitor
A separate app has been made for mobile. Through the app, teachers will have to register their attendance before staff login. After that you will have to register the attendance of all the students of your class. With this, real time data of students will be collected.

The department will also take disciplinary action against teachers who do not register their attendance online. Data of about 8 lakh students and about 80 thousand teachers of schools is available online on the U-DICE portal.

The Education Department has made this preparation on the orders of the Union Education Ministry. Vidya Samiksha Centers have been established in every district. This online software will have complete details of students including name, school and class. Based on that the education department will monitor it.
