Revenue department online services disrupted: System outage halts operations

Shimla: The online work of the revenue department across the state remained halted for the fifth day on Wednesday. However, all revenue employees continued to deal with work in the office offline. Meanwhile, revenue employees in the districts have also held meetings with the deputy commissioners. In the meeting with the Deputy Commissioners, the revenue employees said that they would continue to work offline. Along with this, the Deputy Commissioners have also been called upon to convey their point to the CM. All the revenue employees are regularly coming to their respective offices, and the work of the people reaching the offices is being completed offline. State President of Revenue Officer Mahasangh Satish Chaudhary said that if action is taken against the officials of the organization, then all the officials and members will start a pen-down strike. The revenue officer is agitating against the state cadre across the state.

The state government had offered talks to the Mahasangh, and in this sequence, first Additional Chief Secretary Omkar Sharma and then Revenue Minister Jagat Singh Negi held two separate meetings with the Mahasangh officials, but both the meetings did not yield any result. Now, after the meeting with the Deputy Commissioner, the possibility of another meeting of the Federation with Chief Minister Sukhwinder Singh Sukhu has increased. During the meeting with the Patwari-Kanungo Federation, Shimla Deputy Commissioner Anupam Kashyap assured to convey their point to the Chief Minister in the next one or two days.
