Kullu: A case of murder of a female tourist has come to light in a private hotel in Manali, a tourist town of Kullu in Himachal Pradesh. Manali police team has arrested the accused.
Police is now interrogating the accused youth as to why he killed the woman and what was the relationship between the two. The Manali police team has informed the family members of the deceased woman about her murder and now the matter is being investigated.
According to the information received from Manali Police, on May 13, both of them came to Manali and were staying in a private hotel. According to the Aadhaar card, the name of the deceased woman is Sheetal resident of Madhya Pradesh and the name of the accused is Vinod, who is a resident of Haryana state.
Last evening when Vinod started leaving the hotel alone, he called for a taxi to go to the Volvo bus stand. While he was putting a bag in the vehicle, the hotel staff found the bag very heavy.
The hotel staff immediately informed the Manali police on the basis of suspicion. Meanwhile, the accused came to know that the hotel staff had given the information to the police. After which he escaped from the spot.
Then police team reached the spot and when the bag kept in the taxi was opened, the dead body of the woman was found in it. The police team immediately started a blockade and the accused youth was arrested near Bajora late night.
Kullu SP Dr. Gokul Chandran Karthikeyan said that the Manali police team took immediate action and arrested the accused.
