Rajiv Shakdhar new Chief Justice of Himachal High Court, Collegium recommends

Shimla: Rajiv Shakdhar will be the new Chief Justice of the Himachal Pradesh High Court. The Supreme Court Collegium has recommended the appointment of new Chief Justices in eight different high courts in the country. Judge Rajiv Shakdhar is currently serving in the Delhi High Court.

Justice Rajiv Shakdhar was appointed a judge in the Delhi High Court in 2008.

He is fourth in seniority in all the high courts in the country. Shakdhar is one of the most senior judges in the country. The apex court has recommended the transfer of the current Chief Justice of the Himachal High Court, MS Ramachandra Rao, to the Jharkhand High Court. Judge MS Ramachandra Rao will now serve as the Chief Justice in Jharkhand.

Rajiv Shakdhar was appointed as an additional judge of the Delhi High Court on April 11, 2008, and as a permanent judge on October 17, 2011. I worked in the Madras High Court between April 11, 2016 and January 18, 2018. I am currently working as a judge of the Delhi High Court.
