Rampur: A trading company in Rampur of Shimla district has committed a fraud of Rs 3 crore by cheating people. People were made to invest money in the name of ‘One Touch Trading Solution’ company by luring them to double the money and then the fraudsters absconded.
In this case, a case of fraud has been registered against Madhu Bala (wife of Nikhil Soni) of Rampur and Roopram Shukla of Karsholi village of Nirmand tehsil of Kullu district.
The victims include Prabhat, Naresh Chandel, Pankaj Thakur, Devendra Singh, Reena Negi, Wasim Khan, Leela Pakala, Kundan Moi, Babita Dhiman, Ranjani Bansal and Rajesh. According to the complainants, the accused not only took money directly from the people, but also trapped new investors in their trap by using the earlier victims. In particular, many women were targeted, who invested their life savings in this company.
Rampur Deputy Superintendent of Police Naresh Sharma confirmed that a case has been registered against the accused under sections 420 (cheating), 406 (criminal breach of trust) and 506 (criminal intimidation) of the IPC. The police are investigating the case thoroughly. Currently, both the accused are absconding and out of contact with the victims.
