Shimla: About Rs 262.75 crore has come from the Central Government for 40 roads of Himachal Pradesh. This budget has been released under the Pradhan Mantri Gram Sadak Yojana. An amount of Rs 159 crore has been implemented for the year 2023-24.
Devendra Kumar, Director, the Rural Connectivity Division, Union Rural Development Ministry has sent a letter in this regard to the Principal Secretary Public Works and Chief Engineer of Public Works Department. This budget has been given under the head of PMGSY-III Batch-One.
It has been released as central assistance under the Pradhan Mantri Gram Sadak Yojana during the financial year 2024-25. It has been given as the first installment of the second part of PMGSY. Apart from this, assistance of Rs 3.75 crore has also come from the Central Government for administrative fund.
According to the letter received from the Central Government, Himachal Pradesh Gram Sadak Vikas Agency will have to give the state’s share within 30 days. If this share is not given within the stipulated time, interest will be charged at the rate of 7 percent per annum.
