Ruckus over the death of Chief Engineer in Himachal: family members alleged harassment

The case of the death of Chief Engineer Vimal Negi in Himachal is gaining momentum. After the allegations of harassment by the family members of the deceased, Himachal Pradesh Power Corporation (HPPCL) employees have also become vocal against the management.

HPPCL employees have been standing outside the office since this morning and are demanding a fair investigation into the matter. Some relatives of Vimal Negi are also sitting outside the HPPCL office today. It is being told that Vimal Negi’s body will be brought directly from Bilaspur to the HPPCL office for the last rites.

On the other hand, Revenue Minister Jagat Negi, while talking to the media today, said that there is a need for a high-level investigation into this matter. Jagat Negi said that Vimal Negi’s family is repeatedly saying that the higher officials have mentally harassed him, due to which he had to take this step. He said that a high-level investigation is needed in this matter. He has discussed this with the Chief Minister. He said that if the employees have also confirmed these allegations by writing a letter, then definitely an investigation should be done.

Most of the officers and employees of HPPCL have written a letter to Chief Minister Sukhvinder Sukhu demanding a fair investigation. There has also been a demand to change the management for a fair investigation.
