Shimla: Accident averted as volvo bus tyre burst, none injured

Shimla: A major accident was averted in Himachal Pradesh on Monday morning. A Volvo bus carrying tourists from Delhi to Shimla met with an accident. The rear tyres of the Volvo bus burst on the highway near Shamlech in Solan. Fortunately, the bus did not fall on the road and no loss of life has been reported.

According to the police, the Volvo bus was going from Delhi to Shimla and today at around 10.30 am, the rear tyre of the bus full of passengers burst near Shamlech. This caused the bus to go out of control. After this, the passengers started shouting and there was panic among them. However due to the alertness of the driver, the bus was saved from overturning.

One of the rear tyres fell about 20 feet away from the bus, while the other tyre was completely flat. At the time of the incident, there were 42 passengers in the bus. All are said to be completely safe. After this, the passengers were taken to Shimla by another bus.

According to the police, this bus left for Shimla from Kashmiri Gate in Delhi last evening and met with an accident mid-way. These days a large number of tourists are reaching Shimla to celebrate Christmas. The passengers of the Volvo bus were also coming to Shimla for Christmas celebrations.
