Senior students allegedly force junior students to wash clothes in Himachal Navodaya school

Shimla: In Shimla district of Himachal Pradesh five students were raped in Jawahar Navodaya School. On July 13, around 11 p.m., five students of the 12th grade went to the room of the 10th grade students in the hostel and asked them to wash their clothes.

When some students in 10th grade refused to wash their clothes, the senior students started beating them one by one. The victim students also accused the seniors of demanding money.

After this, a student called his father, Surendra Singh, and informed him about the entire incident.

Surendra Singh informed the school principal, Sanjita Shaunik about this. In five minutes, the principal herself reached the hostel and stopped the fight.

Meanwhile, Theog’s SDM, Mukesh Sharma, said that the five guilty students have been expelled from the school.

After the incident of ragging and assault, the parents of the children have raised questions with the school administration. In such a situation, it is the responsibility of the hostel warden, house teacher, and school management to stop ragging and beating their children.

If a student had not informed his father about this at night, the consequences of this fight could have been even more serious.

After the complaints of the family members, the local administration has also become alert. Collector Theog himself reached the school, held a meeting with the management and the families of the students, and was directed to take the necessary action.

Sanjita Shaunik, principal of Jawahar Navodaya School Theog, said that she reached the hostel and stopped the fight. Strict action will be taken against the warden. The local administration and the parents of the children are also being talked to. She said that by running Operation Cleanup, it will be ensured that in the future, no student dares to do ragging and fighting in the school.
