Shimla: Fire engulfs hut in Rohru, Nepali man burnt alive

Shimla: A fire broke out in a hut in Khanawal village of Tikkar in Rohru subdivision of Shimla. In this a person of Nepali origin has been burnt alive. The hut was made of wood, due to which the fire spread quickly. At present, the cause of the fire is not known.

The incident happened around 11 pm on Wednesday night. The deceased was identified as 53-year-old Prem, who is a resident of Nepal and worked in the garden as a gardener. It is being told that the person was a drug addict and also an asthma patient.

Local resident Anupam Chauhan said that around 10 to 11 pm, the villagers saw flames in the hut. After this, the villagers gathered on the spot. He told that there was no house around the hut. He said that the hut was made of wood, due to which the entire hut caught fire within no time.

DSP Rohru Ravindra Negi said that the police got information about the incident in the morning. As soon as the information was received, a police team was dispatched to the spot. At present, the police have not been able to find out the cause of the fire.
