Rohru (Shimla): Four houses caught fire in the early morning in the Rohru area of Shimla district of Himachal Pradesh. In this, 38 rooms of four houses of two brothers were burnt to ashes. A cow and a calf were burnt alive in this fire incident.
Fire broke out in Seri village of Samarkot at 4.30 am. Two other adjacent houses have also been damaged by the flames.
According to the information, the family members had gone to a wedding ceremony. Due to this, information about the fire could not be received on time. It is being told that when the woman of the village woke up in the morning, she got information about the fire.
After this, a team of fire brigade personnel from Rohru reached the spot. By then the people of the village also started extinguishing the fire. After a lot of hard work of the fire personnel and the people, the fire could be controlled by around 6 am and the fire could be prevented from spreading to other houses in the village.
According to preliminary information, the houses of Kailash Shiv Saran and Mohan Lal have been completely burnt to ashes. The loss in this incident is estimated to be in lakhs of rupees. The fire brigade and police team are present on the spot and are engaged in assessing the cause of the fire and the damage.
Fire officer Sanjeev Sharma said that a fire incident occurred in Seri village early in the morning. In this, 38 rooms of 4 houses of 2 brothers were burnt to ashes. At present, the cause of the fire could not be ascertained and is being investigated.
