A student committed suicide by hanging herself in Mehli area of the capital Shimla. The deceased student was living with her sister in her residence in Mehli. The deceased student was still studying. According to information received from the police, the deceased was at home with her sister on Tuesday night. While her mother had gone to Delhi for a family wedding.
It is being told that she was a little upset throughout the day, but she did not tell anyone about this. At around 10 pm, she was walking in her balcony. After a while, when her sister called her in the room, there was no response. After this, when the sister went to the balcony, she saw that her sister had committed suicide by hanging herself with a stall made of iron angle.
The sister immediately informed her mother about the incident on the phone. In a short while, the aunt and other relatives also reached the spot and brought down the body of the girl. But by then she had died, after which the police were informed.
At the same time, the police took the body in its possession and started an investigation. No suicide note has been recovered in the initial investigation, due to which the reason for suicide could not be ascertained. Police is investigating the case from various angles. Shimla Police has sent the body to IGMC for postmortem. The real cause of death will be known only after the report comes. The investigation is being done by Chota Shimla Police.
