Shimla: There may be snowfall in the higher regions and rain in the lower regions in Himachal Pradesh today. There is a possibility of snowfall on the high peaks of Chamba, Kinnaur, Lahaul Spiti and Kullu districts today as well. At the same time, there is a fog alert in 7 districts since yesterday.
The weather has remained bad since yesterday in most parts of the state. In such a situation, people are expecting rain and snowfall. At the same time, the Meteorological Department has said that the weather will remain clear for the next three days from January 13.
Light snowfall in Bharmour since morning
Light snowfall has been occurring in Bharmour, a remote area of the remote district Chamba, since morning. At the same time, light snowfall occurred on the high peaks of the state on Saturday evening. Snow flakes fell in Sissu, Rohtang Tunnel of Lahaul Spiti and Solang Nala of Kullu.
Kullu district administration is not sending vehicles from Kullu to Atal Tunnel Rohtang in view of bad weather. Tourists arriving in Manali from all over the country are being allowed to go only till Solang Nala. Tourists are enjoying paragliding, snow biking and horse riding in Solang Nala throughout the day.
According to the Meteorological Department, snowfall may occur in the higher areas of the state and rain in the lower areas even today. Snowfall may occur on the high peaks of Chamba, Kinnaur, Lahaul Spiti and Kullu district even today.
Yellow alert of fog in 7 districts from tomorrow
After the change in weather, the plains of the state have definitely got relief from dense fog yesterday. But from yesterday, yellow alert of dense fog has been given in Una, Hamirpur, Bilaspur, Solan, Sirmaur, Kangra and Mandi districts. Fog will prevail in these districts for the next three days. Due to this, visibility may fall below 50 meters.
A huge drop in temperature has been recorded after the change in weather in the state. During the last 24 hours, the average maximum temperature of the state has dropped by 4.2 degrees. At the same time, the maximum temperature of Tabo in Lahaul Spiti has dropped to 1.2 degrees after a drop of 11.4 degrees during 24 hours.
Similarly, the temperature of Dharamshala has also dropped to 12.6 degrees after a drop of 9.4 degrees in 24 hours, the temperature of Bhuntar has also dropped to 12.6 degrees after a drop of 8.0 degrees, the temperature of Mandi has dropped to 14.0 degrees Celsius after a drop of 7.3 degrees.
