Storm alert in 4 districts of Himachal: western disturbance to active tonight

Himachal: Western Disturbance (WD) is becoming active in Himachal Pradesh from tonight. Due to this, there may be rain and snowfall in the mountains for the next 48 hours. WD will become stronger on January 11.

Due to this, clouds may rain in most parts of the state, while on January 12, WD will definitely be a little weak. Light rain and snowfall is expected during this period.

The Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued a yellow alert of storm in Mandi, Shimla, Solan and Sirmaur districts for tomorrow. There may be good snowfall in the high altitude areas today and tomorrow.

Warning of fog in the plains

Similarly, a warning has also been given of cold wave and dense fog in the plains today. This warning has been given to Una, Hamirpur, Bilaspur, Kangra and Mandi districts. Dense fog has been troubling people in these districts for the last three days.

Due to the cold wave, people will have to face severe cold during night and morning. Due to this, the night temperature is falling in the plains.

Situation is bad due to fog in Baddi too

Situation is bad due to fog in Baddi of Solan district too and visibility is going down to less than 50 meters in the morning. Due to this, drivers are facing difficulty in driving till noon. Many areas of Bilaspur, Mandi, Hamirpur, Kangra and Una are also experiencing dense fog for three days.
