Himachal Pradesh BJP President Dr. Rajiv Bindal has given a big statement on the Congress fielding Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu’s wife in the election. Along with this, he has also targeted the current Congress government.
While talking to journalists, Rajiv Bindal said that earlier the government of friends was there in Himachal Pradesh, but now the government of husband-wife and friends is working here. He said that the current government is dedicated only to family and friends. This government is not concerned about the state.
Rajiv Bindal also raised questions on the declaration of Dehra of Kangra district as district police. He said that by-elections have been announced in Himachal Pradesh. Meanwhile, declaring Dehra as district police is a violation of the Constitution. The election code of conduct is being directly flouted.
Rajiv Bindal also said that if the Chief Minister’s wife had not contested the election from Dehra, Dehra would not have been made a district police and the cabinet was also called only to declare district police in Dehra. He said that if the Chief Minister was so concerned about his in-laws’ Dehra, then he would have provided other facilities in this assembly constituency which the government has not been able to provide.
Rajeev Bindal also raised questions on the role of the Election Commission. He said that the Election Commission is sitting idle. He also said that even during the recent assembly by-elections in the state, the role of the Election Commission was completely under suspicion.
