Teachers will not be transferred within a distance of less than 30 km, guidelines issued by Himachal Edu Dept

Now, teachers will not be transferred in Himachal Pradesh schools at a distance of less than 30 km. It will also be mandatory to serve in a school for two years. The education department has issued guidelines regarding the transfer of school teachers to be done in April. There will be no transfers from schools running with the support of only one teacher. In these cases, only options will be considered. Transfer applications on the basis of mutual consent will not be accepted in schools in urban areas.

Applications for transfer to vacant posts in other places and applications received on mutual basis will be accepted. The government has given relief here by reducing the tenure at one place from three years to two years. In the transfer application, it will have to be kept in mind that the school should not be without a teacher.

The education minister has asked the directorate to observe such cases itself. The proposals for transfers that will be sent from the directorate to the secretariat will have to mention the student-teacher ratio.

Recommendations will also have to be attached with the transfer proposal. It has been asked to ensure compliance of the condition of reliever for the hard areas of the state. While sending the transfer proposals, it has been asked to keep the requests received in the context of merger of schools and low enrollment in the file. Where transfers are made in single teacher schools, there the enrollment should be seen first and the matter should be kept in the file.

Teachers will be transferred in schools from 1 to 30 April. Before lifting the ban, the Education Department has asked the interested teachers who have completed their service period in tribal areas to give options of five schools with vacancies by March 15. They will have to apply to the Higher and Primary Directors to get the transfer done. Education Directors will have to send the transfer proposals to the government by March 20.
