Kullu : Three people, including a woman, died after their tipper fell into a ditch near Gaushala Kainchi of Kullu district of Himachal Pradesh. A 4 year girl is seriously injured.She has been referred to Kullu.
The police have registered a case and started investigation. According to the information, at around 5:30 pm on Monday evening, a tipper carrying cement and rebar was going towards village Mathiana. After break fail near Kainchi, tipper fell into a deep ditch about 100 feet deep.
After getting information about the accident, people from nearby villages reached the spot. They took the injured out from the ditch with the help of 108 ambulances, the injured were taken to Banjar Hospital. In the accident, a woman died on the spot, while a man died during treatment at Banjar Hospital.
Two seriously injured people were referred to Kullu after first aid. Of these, the driver also died before reaching Kullu hospital.
The deceased have been identified as Jogi Ram (50) son of Nasru Ram village Dhara Post Office Chanaun Tehsil Banjar, Kirna Devi (28) wife Kehar Singh village Jamadidhar and driver Ahi Chand (48) son of Paras Ram village Dhara Post Office Chanaun Banjar. Four year old Gayatri daughter of Kehar Singh village Jamadidhar is seriously injured.
The injured girl is the daughter of deceased Kirna Devi. SDM Banjar Pankaj Sharma provided immediate relief amount of Rs 20,000 each to the families of those killed in the accident and Rs 5,000 each to the injured. DSP Banjar Sher Singh Thakur said that the cause of the accident is being investigated. As soon as information about the accident was received, Banjar MLA Surendra Shourie, Tehsildar Banjar Ramesh Kumar and TC Mahant reached the spot.
