Tourists to celebrate White Christmas: Fresh snowfall in Shimla, Kufri and Narkanda

Shimla: Tourists will be able to celebrate White Christmas in Himachal. There is a lot of snowfall in the high mountain areas including Shimla. 4 inches of fresh snow has fallen in Kufri, Shimla, 5 inches in Narkanda, 2 inches in Jakhu, Shimla and 4 inches in Mahasu Peak. Apart from this, snowfall has also occurred in Atal Tunnel, Manali. The Meteorological Department has predicted snowfall tomorrow as well.

A large number of tourists have arrived in Kufri and Narkanda of Shimla. Tourist Vishwajeet, who came to Kufri, said that he had come here from Odisha with his wife. He has come to the mountains for the first time and is very happy to see snowing here.

Pawan Chaudhary, who came from Jaipur, said that when he reached Kufri from Shimla in the morning, he saw snowfall here with his own eyes for the first time due to which he is very happy.

Snowfall occurs on the high peaks of Shimla, Lahaul Spiti, Chamba, Kullu and Mandi district of the state. The weather department has predicted snowfall in seven districts of the state today and light rain in other districts.

Light snowfall may occur in higher altitudes tomorrow as well. But the weather will be clear for two days from the day after tomorrow. The western disturbance will become active again on the night of 26 December. This may cause good rain and snowfall in the mountains on 27 and 28 December.
