An FIR has been registered in the case of vandalism of a bus of Himachal Road Transport Corporation (HRTC)’s Hamirpur unit in Kharar near Mohali in Punjab. Investigation is underway in the case. This information has been given by the HRTC management. According to the information, the bus running on the Chandigarh-Hamirpur route left Chandigarh at 6:15 pm on Tuesday. But near Kharar, the bus was attacked by unknown persons carrying sticks. The attackers broke the windscreen and several window panes before fleeing from the spot.
During this, the passengers and the driver and conductor of the bus were completely terrified. By the time the driver, conductor and passengers could understand anything, the attackers fled from there. The attackers had put paper on the number plate of their car, which made identification difficult. However, all the passengers and the bus crew are safe in the attack. According to the HRTC management, an FIR has been registered in the case, and SAS Nagar Police Mohali is actively investigating the matter. HRTC is committed to ensuring the safety of its passengers and employees.
The driver of the bus that was vandalized in Mohali told the police that in the evening, two unknown people dressed as Sikhs boarded the bus (HP-67-A-1321) on the Kharar-Kurali national highway and broke the windows with sticks and fled towards Kurali. Bus driver Ravi Kumar and conductor Lovely Kumar said that the bus left ISBT 43 for Hamirpur from Chandigarh at 6 pm. During this time, a passenger informed about the incident at Kharar City Police Station. The police reached the spot, removed the crashed bus from the spot and took it into custody and started investigation. On the other hand, HRTC Hamirpur divisional manager Rajkumar said that the Punjab police has been informed by the higher officials.
