Kangra : Ward Panch was murdered in Kangra, Himachal on Tuesday evening. After an argument during the Mundan program in Nari village of Dehra, the person was pushed, due to which he fell into the hot water pot. Dehra Police has arrested the accused. After the incident, the family members of the deceased are in a terrible condition.
The deceased has been identified as Surendra Kumar (62). He was the ward panch and the father of 2 sons. The program of mundan was going on at Zulfi Ram’s house in Nari village itself. Meanwhile, Zulfi Ram’s son Surjan Singh had an argument with Tilak Raj (73 years). Surjan Singh pushed Tilakraj. That’s when Surendra Kumar came in the middle to save the middle. A scuffle also started between Surjan and Surendra. Surjan pushes Surendra. From which he fell into a pot of warm water.
Surendra Kumar got badly burnt after falling into the water. The family members accompanied him for treatment before taking him to Talwara, Punjab and later to Dasuha, where the doctors declared him dead.
The police arrested the accused
As soon as the information was received, the police team from Sansarpur Terrace police station reached the spot and arrested the accused. The police team collected evidence from the spot and recorded the statements of the relatives who attended the event. DSP Dehra Anil Kumar has confirmed the incident.
