Western disturbance brings respite in form of rain for people of Himachal Pradesh, Pre-monsoon yet to arrive

Shimla: Due to the activity of western disturbance in Himachal, most parts of the state experienced rain last evening. Due to this, the people of the state have got relief from the scorching heat. The minimum temperature has dropped by 8 degrees Celsius.

The minimum temperature of Paonta Sahib has dropped the most by 8 degrees Celsius and the temperature has dropped to 22 degrees.

On the other hand, the minimum temperature of Dharamshala has dropped by 7.7 degrees to 16.8 degrees Celsius, Shimla’s temperature has dropped by 6 degrees to 13.6 degrees, Solan’s temperature has dropped by 5.4 degrees to 16.6 degrees, Kangra’s temperature has dropped by 4.2 degrees to 18.6 degrees.

The weather remained bad in most parts of the state since this morning and rain is forecast in some parts even today. During this time, thunderstorms and hailstorms may also occur at some places.

Tomorrow, i.e. on June 21, light drizzle may occur at some places of high and medium altitude in the state. On June 22, 23 and 24, the weather will be bad only in the high-altitude areas. The weather will be clear at other places.

Pre-monsoon has not arrived yet: Dr. Pal

Dr. Surendra Pal, Director of Meteorological Center Shimla, said that the rain that occurred during the last 24 hours is due to western disturbance. Pre-monsoon has not arrived yet. He said that only partial effect of pre-monsoon is visible in the east direction.
