Hisar, April 22: A theft amounting to lakhs of rupees has occurred at Vinny Cake House, located in Sector 13, Hisar. The cake house’s head chef unlocked the premises at night and drove away in a vehicle, taking with him valuable items, machinery, and cash. The owner of the cake house stated that the chef had been hired just about two months ago.
The owner of the cake house has filed a complaint against the chef, Siraj Ansari, at the Civil Lines Police Station. CCTV footage of the incident has also surfaced, showing two individuals loading items into a small vehicle late at night. The vehicle bears a Delhi registration number.
Upon receiving the complaint, the police dispatched a ‘Rider’ team to the scene. However, the shop owner claims that despite filing the complaint, no police personnel arrived for six hours. Alisha, the owner of Vinny Cake House, stated, “We have suffered a loss estimated between ₹5 lakh and ₹5.5 lakh.”
The Chef Was Hired Just Two Months Ago
Alisha explained that the chef had been hired only two months prior. The chef stole dry fruits, the cake-making machine, buckets of chocolate, the DVR, the cash kept in the till, and various food items. Alisha recounted, “The evening before the incident, the chef had taken the keys to the cake house from us; we never imagined that he would use them to commit theft. In the morning, when my brother came to the shop to retrieve his shoes before heading to the gym, he discovered that items were missing from the premises.” Following this discovery, the police were informed.
The Chef Hails from Delhi
Alisha revealed that the chef, who had joined two months ago, was named Siraj Ansari, and they never once suspected that he would commit a theft. He is a resident of the Rithala area in Delhi. We have filed a complaint with the police. Alisha stated that we had some cake orders to fulfill today, which were already prepared; the chef took those cakes as well. Alisha mentioned that this chef had been assigned to us through our franchise. She further added that when she called him this morning, he told her, “Do not look for me; I have gone far away.”
