On Diwali night, a massive fire broke out at around 9 pm at the e-scooter and battery showroom of Satguru Trader, shop number 305, in the Auto Market. The cause of the fire is believed to be an electrical short circuit or a spark from a firecracker. The fire quickly engulfed the entire showroom, causing panic in the area.
Five fire brigade vehicles arrived at the scene upon receiving information about the fire, and after nearly two hours of intense effort, the fire was brought under control. Approximately 70 e-scooters and 100 battery sets stored in the showroom were completely destroyed.
City Police Station SHO Mohammad Rafiq and his team arrived at the scene to assess the situation. Nearby shopkeepers also assisted in extinguishing the fire.
Showroom owners Mayank Aneja and Aman Bhutani stated that they have been running the showroom in partnership for the past two years. Locals noticed smoke coming from the shop at night and alerted the police, prompting immediate action. Despite the prompt action of the police and fire brigade, the fire caused extensive damage.
An investigation has been launched to determine the exact cause of the fire.
