Punjab Cabinet Meeting today, announcement on important issues, new excise policy approves

Chandigarh : The Punjab government has taken decisions on many important issues including excise policy in the cabinet meeting on Saturday. Finance Minister Harpal Singh Cheema said that the implementation of the new excise policy will generate an income of more than Rs 10 thousand crore.

When Congress was in power in Punjab, the government had made a profit of only Rs 6,151 crore. Due to the new excise policy of the government, the government is able to reach Rs 10 thousand crore today.

Cheema further said that two special courts have been constituted in Tarn Taran and Sangrur. Cases falling under the POCSO Act will be heard in these courts. These steps are being taken to dispose of POCSO and molestation cases in Punjab as soon as possible.

These courts have been created to stop crimes that are committed against children under 18 years of age and to give appropriate punishment to criminals. There will be about 20 officers in these courts.

3842 posts will be made permanent
Cheema said that about 3842 posts in the courts of Punjab are temporary. Which have been made permanent by the government. These posts were temporary for the last 20 years. This decision has been taken so that the employees do not have to face problems. Because temporary employees had to visit offices every year to get themselves confirmed, this will not happen now.

Will fill 1300 posts in health department
Cheema said that 1300 posts will be created for medical facilities in Punjab. With this, the health department in Punjab will be able to work better. Our aim is to provide good health facilities to the people in the entire state. 1300 posts will be filled, so that people will be able to get good facilities in every hospital of Punjab.

400 posts will be filled in the first phase. After this the said recruitment will continue continuously. 20 recruitments will be made in the 30 bedded community center of Gurdaspur.

Ayushman Yojana insurance amount of Rs 2 crore
Minister Cheema said that in the last few days, meetings were held with many industry businessmen by Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal and CM Bhagwant Singh Mann. The two most important demands of the businessmen were revealed in all the meetings. Under Ayushman Bharat Insurance Scheme, the insurance limit should be increased from Rs 1 crore to Rs 2 crore. On which the government has approved.

In the second demand, the businessmen had demanded to pay the external development charge in installments. The government has taken a decision and approved this. Businessmen will be able to pay the said money in three easy installments in one and a half years. The time of OTS scheme has also been extended till June 30. This is a big relief for traders.

An important meeting of the Punjab Cabinet held today at 11:00 am. A meeting of the Cabinet will be held at the residence of Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann.

Earlier the venue of the meeting was Punjab civil Secretariat but later shifted to the residence of CM Mann.

Ahead of Lok Sabha elections, big announcements can be made in the meeting on issues related to employees. DA may increase as a gift to employees on Holi. Recently, the Center has also increased the DA of its employees.
