New Delhi: Former BCCI president Inderjit Singh Bindra passed away at the age of 84, leaving behind a lasting legacy in Indian cricket administration.
Bindra was a key figure in ushering in a new era of cricket marketing in India, significantly shaping the sport’s commercial landscape.
Tenure as BCCI President and PCA Chief
He served as BCCI president from 1993 to 1996 and was the president of the Punjab Cricket Association (PCA) for over three decades (1978–2014).
In recognition of his contributions, the PCA Stadium in Mohali was renamed the I.S. Bindra Stadium in 2015.
