Oman: The Indian community in Oman expressed tremendous enthusiasm for Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s ‘Maitri Parv’ event. Before the event, held at the Oman Convention Center, people chanted “Modi Modi” and “Vande Mataram” and emotionally welcomed their beloved leader.
Grand welcome in Muscat and meeting with Indian diaspora
Arriving in Muscat on the final leg of his three-nation tour, PM Modi was warmly welcomed at the airport by Oman’s Deputy Prime Minister (Defense) Sayyid Shihab bin Tariq Al Said. He was also given a guard of honor. Prior to this, the Indian diaspora also welcomed him with cultural performances at the hotel.
Talks on strengthening India-Oman relations
PM Modi will hold bilateral talks with Oman’s Sultan Haitham bin Tariq, discussing regional and global issues, including trade, energy, defense, technology, agriculture, and cultural cooperation. The visit holds special significance on the occasion of 70 years of India-Oman diplomatic relations and will further strengthen the strategic partnership between the two countries.
