Jalandhar: Mr. Pankaj Kumar, Regional Commissioner of the Employees’ Provident Fund Organization (EPFO), Ministry of Labour and Employment, Government of India, Jalandhar Regional Office, shared that EPFO is simplifying its processes to provide better services to its members and bring improvements and transparency to EPF accounts. The new Joint Declaration has made the process of correcting member profiles simpler and quicker. The previous process typically took 20-25 days, but now the processing of all joint declarations is happening faster, allowing members to receive updates sooner. Members can now submit their Joint Declaration application online, eliminating the need to visit physical offices.

Mr. Pankaj Kumar explained that members can now track the status of their Joint Declaration application online, increasing transparency. The new system clearly outlines the document requirements, making the application process easier. This improvement will reduce discrepancies in member profiles and decrease instances of fraud. Overall, the new Joint Declaration process introduced by EPFO offers speed, convenience, and transparency while maintaining the integrity of member profiles.

The Regional Commissioner appealed to all members to take advantage of this new process to correct their details. Employers are expected to complete the application process on time to avoid any inconvenience to members.
