CM Mohan Yadav says received offers from Japanese investors for Madhya Pradesh

Osaka: Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Mohan Yadav is currently on a four-day trip to Japan to attract investment to the state. He reported receiving positive responses and offers from Japanese investors during an interactive session in Osaka focused on investment opportunities in Madhya Pradesh.

Yadav extended an invitation to industrialists to participate in the Global Investors Summit set to take place in Bhopal on February 24 and 25. He expressed satisfaction with the warm reception from Japanese investors, noting, “We have come here to invite investors. We’re conducting roadshows across different cities in Japan with both Indian and Japanese investors, and the response has been encouraging.”

Hideki Sho, Director General of the Japan External Trade Organisation (JETRO) in Kobe, commented positively on Madhya Pradesh’s potential for various industries, including mining, energy, and pharmaceuticals. Emi Teshima, Chief Director of JETRO Kobe, highlighted the state’s promising medical industry, mentioning that it aligns with Kobe’s own strengths in healthcare.

During his visit, CM Yadav engaged with the Indian diaspora and visited Sysmex Corporation, a prominent health sector company, emphasizing Madhya Pradesh’s resource wealth, including gold, diamonds, iron, and aluminium.

He shared sentiments about Indians abroad, stating they are akin to “sugar in milk,” adding value, and creating connections. Yadav also emphasized the transformative changes in India under Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s leadership, noting that India has become a focal point for global investment.

On the third day of his Japan tour, Yadav visited the Panasonic Energy facility and discussed investment avenues, showcasing Madhya Pradesh’s infrastructure, specialized industrial parks, and skilled workforce. He invited the Panasonic Energy representatives to the upcoming Global Investors Summit 2025.

Scheduled for February 24 and 25 in Bhopal, the summit aims to showcase Madhya Pradesh’s investment climate and industrial infrastructure to potential collaborators.
