Israeli forces eliminate 25 terrorists, arrest 350 in February crackdown

Jerusalem: The Israel Defense Forces reported a significant intensification of security operations in Judea and Samaria, resulting in the elimination of around 25 terrorists and the arrest of 350 wanted individuals throughout February. The operations led to the confiscation of approximately 120 weapons and the destruction of hundreds of explosives. Efforts primarily targeted northern Samaria and critical regions to disrupt Palestinian terror networks.

An ongoing counterterror operation launched in the Jenin refugee camp on January 19 has expanded to include the Palestinian city of Tulkarem and an area known as “the Five Villages.” These actions follow the Palestinian Authority’s unsuccessful effort to control the situation in Jenin in January.

Since the start of the operations on January 19, Israeli forces have apprehended over 200 terror suspects, eliminated 71 individuals identified as security threats, and seized more than 300 weapons and explosives. In the wake of Hamas’s attack on October 7, Israeli forces have conducted counterterror operations leading to the arrest of 6,000 wanted Palestinians in Judea and Samaria, with about 40 percent of those detained being affiliated with Hamas.
