Nationwide protests erupt across all 50 states of U.S. over Trump’s policies and layoffs

Washington, April 20: Thousands of protesters once again took to the streets on Saturday against the policies of US President Donald Trump. These protests took place in all 50 states. The protesters are protesting against Trump’s tariff war policies and layoffs in government jobs.

During this, the protesters surrounded the President’s residence, the White House. People accused Trump of crushing the rule of law and civility. This movement has been named 50501, which means ’50 protests, 50 states, 1 movement.’

Apart from the White House, the protesters also surrounded Tesla showrooms. This is the second round of protests against Trump. Earlier, on April 5, protests were held against Trump across the country.

Protests are happening against the policies of Trump and Musk

The main reason for the protests in all states, including the capital, Washington, DC is the aggressive policies of President Donald Trump and businessman Elon Musk. Elon Musk’s efficiency department is constantly carrying out layoffs in government departments.

Thousands of government employees have been fired so far. On the other hand, Donald Trump’s strict policy of taking action against immigrants and imposing tariffs on other countries is also a major reason for these protests.

Trump’s tariff war has increased the prices of goods coming to America from other countries. This is directly affecting the pockets of common people.

45% voters are happy with Trump’s work

According to American survey agency Gallup, 45% of American voters are happy with Trump’s work in the first 3 months, whereas only 41% of voters were satisfied with Trump’s work in the first 3 months of his first term.

However, this is very low compared to other presidents. The average rating of all presidents in the first quarter between 1952 and 2020 is 60%. In comparison, Trump’s rating looks low. According to the agency, when Trump took office, his rating was 47%. This too has declined.
