A major accident has taken place in Jalandhar on New Year’s Eve. A painful road accident took place near Raipur Adda village. Three people died on the spot, and four others were seriously injured in a horrific collision between a high-speed Innova car and an auto rickshaw.
According to eyewitnesses, the accident took place around 8:30 pm when an out-of-control Innova car hit an auto rickshaw. The collision was so violent that the auto rickshaw went out of control and crashed into a nearby truck.
In this double collision, the auto was completely crushed and three passengers in it died on the spot. As soon as the information about the incident was received, SHO of Maqsudan police station and ASI Satnam Singh reached the spot with the police force. With the help of local residents, a team of Road Safety Force (SSF) rescued the injured trapped in the auto and immediately took them to the nearest hospital.
According to the police, the condition of the injured remains critical. The deceased and the injured have not been identified yet. The police have taken both the vehicles into custody and started investigation. The police of Maqsuda police station are examining the footage of nearby CCTV cameras to ascertain the exact cause of the accident.
