There’s great news for unemployed youth in Jalandhar! The Jalandhar Municipal Corporation has announced recruitment for a total of 1196 posts. Municipal Commissioner Sandeep Rishi (IAS) stated that applications are being invited for various categories of posts. Applications will open on January 15th and will continue until January 27th.
The Jalandhar Municipal Corporation will be recruiting for the positions of Garden Beldar, Sanitation Worker, Sewer Man, Road Beldar, and Fitter Coolie. Selected candidates will receive a monthly salary of Rs. 18,000. According to the Municipal Corporation, there will be 406 Garden Beldar positions, 440 Sanitation Worker positions, 165 Sewer Man positions, 160 Road Beldar positions, and 25 Fitter Coolie positions.
Application Submission Process
Application forms for the recruitment can be downloaded from the website from January 10, 2026. Completed application forms can be submitted at the centers designated by the Municipal Corporation from January 15, 2026. The last date for submitting applications is February 27, 2026, by 5 PM.
Selection Committee’s Decision will be Final
The recruitment will be conducted according to the reservation rules (roster system) of the Punjab Government. The decision taken by the selection committee will be considered final. Any corrigendum or update related to the recruitment will be issued only on the Jalandhar Municipal Corporation website.
Mayor says, Decision made a month ago, process now started
Mayor Vineet Dheer said that the Punjab government will ensure complete transparency in this recruitment process. The government had decided to recruit for these positions a month ago, and the process has now been started so that eligible candidates can get employment without any discrimination.
