Jalandhar will experience a one-hour power outage this afternoon (Tuesday). The power supply will be interrupted at 12:30 PM and restored at 1:30 PM. Powercom Jalandhar has announced that residents of the Kot Sadiq area will face inconvenience due to the lack of electricity for this one-hour duration.
The power supply will be temporarily affected on May 12 due to essential repair work being undertaken by the Electricity Department at the 66 KV Kot Sadiq Substation. According to the department, all feeders operating from this sub-station will remain completely shut down while the repair work is in progress.
Due to this power outage, supply will be suspended primarily in the villages of Dhaliwal, Gakhal, Chogawan, Sehjangi, and Kot Sadiq, as well as in densely populated areas such as Kala Sanghia Road, Kanshi Nagar, Green Avenue, Thind Enclave, Ishwar Colony, Guru Nanak Nagar, and Basti Sheikh.
Additionally, residents of Jaina Nagar, Dashmesh Nagar, Gurmehar Enclave, Raj Enclave, Geeta Colony, Janak Nagar, Bara Bazar, Chopra Colony, Baldev Nagar, Raja Garden, and Ujala Nagar will also have to face power cuts.
Department’s Appeal: Residents Urged to Complete Essential Tasks
The department has appealed to the general public to schedule and complete their essential tasks in accordance with this specific time window. The department stated that repair work is currently being carried out in various areas of Jalandhar on a rotational basis to ensure that residents do not have to face power cuts during the upcoming summer months.
