Jalandhar: Protests Outside Pyramid E-Services Office Over Visa Fraud, Fake College Admissions; Anger Over Woman’s Death In Oman

Punjab: In Jalandhar, victims’ families protested and created a ruckus outside the office of Pyramid E-Services, a travel agency, alleging fraud. Sukhwinder Kaur, a victim who participated in the protest, stated that Pyramid had arranged a study visa for her daughter, Navjeet Kaur, at Pataz College in Calgary, Canada.

The woman alleged that she had been admitted to a fake college run by an agent in Jalandhar. Now, even after a year or two of study, the student is still denied work permits and credits, putting her entire future and millions of rupees at stake. Now, the children will have to repeat their studies for two years.

Victim Alleges Rs 65 Lakh Fraud, Visa On Hold For 8 Months

Navneet Kumar, another youth who came to protest, said that he had applied for a study visa to Australia in 2026.

The agency charged him approximately 6.5 million rupees, but after a long eight-month wait, he was told the visa was on hold the very next day. Despite frequent visits to the agency’s office for the past two years, no representative from the agency has provided a satisfactory response.

Woman Alleges Daughter Died In Oman Under Suspicious Circumstances

The protest also touched off the pain of a helpless mother. A tearful woman alleged that her 22-year-old daughter was deceitfully sent to Oman instead of Sharjah, where she died under suspicious circumstances four months ago. The mother alleges a conspiracy has been hatched to shield the perpetrators from legal action.

Victims Threaten Joint Police Complaint

The victims alleged that when they went inside the office to talk, senior agency employees Sunil, Nitasha, and Kajal were seen avoiding and running away instead of meeting them. A police officer stated that the complaints have been taken and legal action will be taken based on the investigation.

The victims warned that after not getting any positive response from the agency, all the victim families have decided to come together and file a written complaint with the police and administration.
