Jalandhar Scorpio fire driver burnt alive

A fire broke out in a moving Scorpio in Jalandhar. Due to which the driver was burnt alive and died. People tried to save the driver by extinguishing the fire. The fire was so strong that the fire brigade had to be called to extinguish it.

When the police and fire brigade teams extinguished the fire, the burnt body of the driver was found from inside. The Scorpio had Kapurthala’s number on it. The police have seized the burnt body and the Scorpio and started investigation.

Initial investigation revealed that the doors of the Scorpio were locked as soon as the fire started, due to which the driver could not get out. After initial investigation, the police said that the deodorant or spray kept in the vehicle was exploded. Which caused the fire.

The police reached the spot and investigated

According to the police, they received information that a moving Scorpio caught fire near the thatched roof (pond) built in the fields in Foldiwal. After which the people around reached there and extinguished the fire. When they did not succeed, the police and fire brigade were called. When the police reached there, the number plate was found burnt from the car. Which revealed that the number on the Scorpio is Kapurthala. Its owner has been identified.

According to the police, the body of the deceased has been burnt a lot. Due to the fire, nothing was found from the Scorpio that could identify him. Because of this, the police are now finding out about the deceased through the owner of the vehicle.

Regarding what came out in the police investigation, Foldiwal outpost in-charge ASI Jasvir Singh said that the fire started in a moving vehicle. In the initial investigation, it seems that a ‘dove blast’ (deodorant or spray) placed behind the glass inside the vehicle exploded, causing sudden chaos inside the car. In this hurry, the vehicle became uncontrollable and overspeeded and hit a roadside pole and fell directly into the paddy fields filled with water, where it caught a severe fire.

Unfortunately, the car driver could not handle himself in this horrific situation and died tragically on the spot. The police team immediately reached the spot as soon as the information was received, but by then everything was burnt and the vehicle was completely damaged.

According to the police, the number of the crashed vehicle is PB 09 R 3688 and it is said to be registered in Kapurthala. On the basis of this number, the vehicle has been registered in the name of Gurpreet Singh, after which the police have started further investigation by turning to the concerned village for a thorough investigation of the case and verification of the address.
