Accident: Scooty and e-rickshaw collide in Jind, eight-year-old innocent died

At Patiala Chowk in Jind, Haryana, a scooter collided with an e-rickshaw, causing it to overturn and killing an eight-year-old child. The child was returning home from the railway station with his family. The accused scooter driver fled the scene after the collision. Police conducted a post-mortem at the Civil Hospital and handed over the body to the family and have registered a case against the unidentified scooter driver. The incident occurred two days ago.

Arvind, a resident of Balaimau village, currently residing in Shyam Nagar, in Rae Bareli district, Uttar Pradesh, told police that he was returning from Delhi with his wife and two children at 11:30 pm on September 24th. They boarded an e-rickshaw to return home from the railway station. When they reached Patiala Chowk, a young man on a speeding scooter came and hit the e-rickshaw, causing the e-rickshaw to overturn, trapping his eight-year-old son, Raj, underneath.

The injured child was immediately rushed to the Civil Hospital, where doctors declared him dead. Police arrived at the scene after receiving the information. On September 25th, the police conducted a post-mortem examination and handed over the body to the family. The family took the body to their ancestral village.
