Former MLA Joshi Writes to Ex-District President, Accuses Mangilal of Self-Interest

Joshi Targets Mangilal Over Selfish Politics

Joshi Targets Mangilal Over Selfish Politics

These days, in Udaipur’s politics, a verbal battle has intensified between two veteran leaders. Dharmanarayan Joshi, former MLA of Udaipur Mavli and senior BJP leader, has written a stern letter to Mangilal Joshi, a senior leader of the same party and former district president.

In this letter, he has opened up many old political issues and launched sharp attacks on Mangilal Joshi. Dharmanarayan Joshi wrote that Mangilal has made many compromises for his own selfish interests, but his ‘political immaturity’ has not ended to this day, meaning he was never able to become a representative of the people.

In the letter, Dharmanarayan Joshi made the most serious accusation regarding the Vipra Foundation’s programs. He wrote that Mangilal Joshi attended social programs as per his convenience. He would sit on the stage, give speeches, have food, and leave, but he never contributed even a single rupee to Vipra programs. Out of the events organized at the cost of lakhs of rupees, Mangilal Joshi never arranged even 100 rupees of help from himself or anyone else.

In the letter, Dharmanarayan Joshi, recalling the 1998 assembly elections, wrote that Mangilal Joshi lost the elections due to his overconfidence and wrong behavior. At that time, he underestimated the rival candidate and shook hands with many controversial people.

After losing the election, he blamed his defeat on Dharmanarayan Joshi, Shivkishore Sanadhya, Kiran Maheshwari, and Pramod Samar. Later, he took revenge in the elections of the women’s bank by defeating Kiran Maheshwari. Dharmanarayan claims that it was from here that the discord in Udaipur BJP started, which has not ended till today.

Mockery of not being able to become a councilor

Dharmanarayan Joshi compared Mangilal Joshi to that ‘army general’ who sacrifices his entire army but feels no regret. He wrote that Mangilal made many compromises for positions like MLA, UIT president, and councilor, but God did not fulfil his desire to become a councilor. He sarcastically remarked that even if he had become a councilor, at least his political bachelorhood would have ended.

Politics of getting a ticket and the rule of emergency

The letter also alleged that Mangilal Joshi did a lot of running around to get Dharmanarayan Joshi’s ticket cut in 2008, 2013, and 2018. He was at the forefront in meetings and signature campaigns to get the ticket cut.

While mentioning the Emergency, Dharmnarayan wrote that when the RSS was banned, Mangilal Joshi went to the village to work a job instead of struggling. He also targeted Mangilal regarding the rude behavior he had shown along with Madanlal Mundra, saying that even calling him ‘Guruji’ is an insult to the word.

Advice to consult a doctor

At the end of the letter, Joshi wrote in a very stern tone that Mangilal Joshi’s entire life has just passed in the obsession of somehow getting a position. He advised that to reduce the stress in his mind caused by his mistakes and failures, he should consult a good doctor instead of making statements. After the emergence of this letter, this controversy is being widely discussed not only in Udaipur BJP but across the entire political corridor.
