Haryana, April 13: A mother and her daughter lost their lives in an accident that occurred while the mother was learning to drive within the CSSRI campus in Karnal. The woman was practicing under her husband’s supervision when her foot slipped from the brake to the accelerator; she suddenly lost control of the vehicle, and the car crashed into a tree.
The five-year-old daughter died in the accident, while the mother, unable to bear the shock of her daughter’s death, also passed away. Upon receiving information about the incident, the police arrived at the scene, took custody of both bodies, and sent them to the mortuary at Kalpana Chawla Medical College in Karnal for a post-mortem examination. Following the post-mortem, the bodies were handed over to the family members. The police are currently investigating the matter.
The deceased woman has been identified as 35-year-old Aarti, wife of Brijesh, while her daughter has been identified as 5-year-old Ayanshi. According to the police, around 6:00 PM on the evening of April 12, Aarti was learning to drive a car under her husband’s instruction within the CSSRI campus. Aarti was passionate about driving and was practicing in their new car; at the time, her husband and their 5-year-old daughter, Ayanshi, were seated in the front passenger seat. The daughter was sitting in her father’s lap.
Mother Unable to Bear the Shock
Upon receiving the news of her daughter’s death, Aarti suffered a severe shock. She was unable to bear the grief, and her own condition rapidly deteriorated. She was immediately admitted to Amritdhara Hospital in Karnal. Around 7:45 PM, Aarti also passed away.
