Khalistan Slogans Written on Neighbour’s Wall in Diljit Dosanjh’s Village Ahead of Aura India Tour

Jalandhar: Ahead of Punjabi singer and actor Diljit Dosanjh’s “Aura India Tour 2026,” pro-Khalistan slogans were found written on the wall of a house in his village, Dosanjh Kalan. However, it was later discovered that the house on which the slogans were written did not belong to Diljit Dosanjh, but to his neighbor, Mukhtiyar.

Mukhtiyar, upset by the incident, said that some people spray-painted offensive slogans on his wall late at night. He claims this has caused him financial loss and that his wall was vandalized without any reason.

Smell of spray woke him up

According to Mukhtiyar, he smelled the spray around 1:30 a.m. Wednesday night, which woke him up. He went outside and saw four or five people writing something on the wall.

Mukhtiyar said everyone had their faces covered. When he scolded them, they ran away. When he looked at the wall, he found pro-Khalistan slogans written on it, along with Diljit Dosanjh’s name written below.

Mukhtiyar said it appears the accused were unaware that this wasn’t Diljit Dosanjh’s house.

‘5,000 to 7,000 Rupees Loss’

Mukhtiyar said he works as a daily wage laborer and has suffered a loss of approximately 5,000 to 7,000 Rupees due to the damage to the wall.

He explained that Diljit Dosanjh’s actual house is across the street. Following the incident, police arrived at his house on Thursday morning and left after questioning.

According to the police, the house on the wall where the slogans were written belongs to Mukhtiyar. Police have launched an investigation into the matter and are examining CCTV footage. Police say that nothing is completely confirmed yet, and the full situation will become clear only after examining the cameras.

Diljit has been embroiled in controversies with Khalistan supporters

Diljit Dosanjh has been involved in several controversies related to pro-Khalistan groups in recent times.

Threats from SFJ: After Diljit appeared on “Kaun Banega Crorepati” in October 2025 and touched Amitabh Bachchan’s feet, Gurpatwant Singh Pannu, head of the banned organization Sikhs for Justice (SFJ), released a video threatening him. Pannu accused Diljit of insulting victims of the 1984 Sikh riots and threatened to stop his Australia shows.

Protests in Australia: During Diljit’s tour of Australia in October-November 2025, some Khalistan supporters raised slogans in Perth and Adelaide. In response, Diljit vowed to spread a message of love and unity from the stage.

Protests and clashes in Canada: During the “Aura World Tour” in April 2026, some protesters in Vancouver and Calgary, Canada, waved separatist flags. In Winnipeg, there were reports of altercations and scuffles between protesters and Diljit’s fans outside the stadium.

Reaction to protest at Calgary show: During a Calgary concert in May 2026, Diljit confronted those waving pro-Khalistan flags and asked security personnel to remove them. He later stated that while one can stand outside and protest, harassing his fans is unacceptable. He also stated that his job is to entertain, not engage in politics.

Protester reaches stage in the US: During a live performance at the Chase Center in San Francisco in June 2026, a protester crossed the security cordon and reached the stage with a Khalistani flag. Following the incident, Diljit retreated and the concert was stopped. Security personnel apprehended the protester, and local police detained him.
