Firozpur: Firing was done on Firozpur Punjab Congress leader and former MLA Kulbir Jeera. However, he has defended himself. A complaint has been lodged with the police in this regard. On the other hand, the police has come into action after the matter came to light.
Videos of the area are being taken by the police. Firozpur SPD Randhir Singh told the media that a call did come on 112 at 10:30. But no evidence of firing has been found. Police teams are investigating from all angles.

In his complaint to the police, Jeera has said that he was going somewhere last night when a Creta car chased him. During this, six rounds of firing were done. But no one was hit by the bullets.
He has informed the police control room. After this, he has given a written complaint to the police. After the complaint, the police has become active in the area where this incident of firing took place.

Kulbir Singh Zira is the MLA from Zira in Firozpur. He is a senior member of the Congress. He contested the Lok Sabha elections from Khadoor Sahib against Amritpal Singh. However, he did not succeed in the elections. Apart from this, he was also fired upon in a property dispute in the month of June.
