Mumbai: Bollywood actor Aamir Khan, known for his dedication to his craft, has revealed a unique vow tied to his son Junaid Khan’s upcoming film Loveyapa. Aamir has promised to quit smoking if the romantic comedy becomes a box office success.

This decision comes after Aamir’s heartfelt investment in his last film, Laal Singh Chaddha, which struggled at the box office but garnered appreciation on OTT platforms. Meanwhile, Junaid Khan, who impressed audiences with his debut in the historical drama Maharaj, is now gearing up for his second film alongside Khushi Kapoor.

Speaking about his habit, Aamir had previously shared, “I smoke a pipe. I’ve quit drinking, but at one point, I would drink all night. I couldn’t stop.” Now, he’s determined to give up smoking as a gesture of support for his son’s career.

Directed by Advait Chandan, Loveyapa is a romantic comedy exploring the chaos that unfolds when a couple accidentally exchanges their mobile phones. Aamir has already praised the film, describing it as entertaining and commending Khushi Kapoor’s performance, which he says echoes the energy of her late mother, Sridevi.

The release date of Loveyapa is yet to be announced. Fans eagerly await both the film’s success and Aamir’s resolve to kick his smoking habit.
