Ludhiana West Assembly seat declared vacant: elections in 6 months

Ludhiana: The Punjab Assembly has declared the Ludhiana West seat vacant. This seat has become vacant after the death of MLA Gurpreet Gogi. A notification has been issued in this regard. Also, the Election Commission has also been informed about this. The notification in this regard was issued by the Punjab Vidhan Sabha Secretariat.

After this, by-elections will be conducted soon by the Election Commission. Earlier, the party had won the Jalandhar seat. After this, the party candidates were successful in winning the Gidderbaha, Hoshiarpur and Dera Baba Nanak seats.

MLA Gogi died on the night of January 10

Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) MLA from Ludhiana West Assembly seat Gurpreet Gogi (57) died of gunshot last Friday. The incident happened when he was cleaning his revolver. After this, he was taken to the hospital. Where doctors declared him dead.
