Amritsar Police nabs 2 drug smugglers with 4 kg heroin

Amritsar: In  a significant breakthrough against trans-border smuggling, the Amritsar Commisionerate Police has arrested two drug smugglers, Karanpal Singh and Ranjit Singh, and also seized 4 kg of heroin.

The Drug Consignment, reportedly dropped through drones, is linked to a notorious Pakistan based smuggler who uses Ferozepur sector for trafficking operations.

The arrested individuals are residents of border villages in Tarn Taran. An FIR has been registered under the NDPS Act at police Station Islamabad, Amritsar. This operation highlights ongoing efforts to curb cross border drug trafficking and its devastating impact on communities of the region.
