New Delhi : Shubkaran Singh, a 20-year-old farmer of Ballo village in Bathinda, died due to a bullet in the head during the firing on the farmers, who were marching towards Delhi today.
The young farmer Shubh Karan Singh was the owner of only three acres of land and had gone to the Khanuri Punjab Haryana border in the Kisan movement three to four days ago.
Shubh Karan Singh was the only brother of his two sisters. This incident has been confirmed by the Punjab vice president of Bharatiya Kisan Union Ekta Malwa, Gurwinder Singh Balo, and the farmers’ leaders have demanded from the Punjab government that the family members of the deceased young farmer should be compensated and his debts should be waived.
Farmers Movement intensified at Shambhu Border
Farmers have started moving towards Delhi. The movement has intensified on the Shambhu and Khanuri border. The Paramilitary forces are firing teargas shells on Shambhu border. The situation is very tense.
On the other hand, along with Haryana, Delhi has also been tightened with security police forces. Section 144 has been implemented in Delhi. Crowd gathering and entry of tractors has been banned in Delhi.
The Delhi Police has also sealed the Singhu-Tikri border with Haryana and the Gazipur border with Uttar Pradesh. As in earlier reports, Farmer leaders also said that they will move towards Delhi peacefully. Center should accept their demands.
The government should remove the barricade and allow farmers to go to Delhi. He appealed to the farmers that there is also a need to be cautious with enthusiasm.
