Cold wave alert in 13 districts of Punjab: Temperature to fall by 3 degrees in 2 days

Amritsar: A yellow alert has been issued today regarding cold wave in Punjab. According to the Meteorological Department, its effect will be in Punjab in the next 48 hours. After which once again there will be a slight increase in the temperature of Punjab and people will get slight relief from the cold.

At the same time, a new western disturbance will be active from January 29, after which there is a possibility of rain in Punjab from January 30. According to the Meteorological Department, a cold wave alert has been issued today in 13 districts of Punjab, Gurdaspur, Amritsar, Tarn Taran, Kapurthala, Jalandhar, Ferozepur, Fazilka, Faridkot, Muktsar, Moga and Bathinda.

Here, the minimum temperature may fall by up to two degrees in the next 48 hours. But there will not be much change in the maximum temperature. This alert has been issued till January 27. After that no alert has been issued by the Meteorological Department. According to the Meteorological Center, after 48 hours the temperature will increase by 3 degrees again and the situation will become normal.

Cold in plains due to rain and snowfall in Himachal

At present, no western disturbance is active. But, the Meteorological Department has expressed the possibility of new western disturbance becoming active from January 29. According to the Meteorological Department, the effect of this new western disturbance will be seen only in the hilly areas of Himachal. There are chances of rain and snowfall on the mountains.

At the same time, there are chances of rain in the plains of Punjab on January 30 and 31. If there is snowfall on the mountains, then due to the winds coming from there, the temperature will also drop in the plains of Punjab.

Amritsar– The temperature is expected to be between 4 to 18 degrees.

Jalandhar– The temperature is expected to be between 4 to 20 degrees.

Ludhiana– The temperature is expected to be between 4 to 20 degrees.

Patiala– The temperature is expected to remain between 5 to 19 degrees.

Mohali– The temperature is expected to remain between 7 to 20 degrees.
