Cold winds to sweep Haryana for 5 days: Light rain, temperature drop expected on Feb 8-9

Hisar: The weather is changing once again due to snowfall in the mountains and north-western winds. A strong cold wave has started blowing in Haryana, due to which people are feeling cold. Due to icy winds, the humidity in the air may increase once again and fog may return again.

According to the Meteorological Department, the weather in Haryana is likely to remain generally dry till February 12. However, on February 8 and 9, many districts of the state may remain cloudy and it may rain. Due to this, a slight drop in the day temperature can be recorded.

Rain in other states will affect the weather in Haryana

According to IMD, a new western disturbance is becoming active in north-west India, due to which snowfall and rain may occur in Jammu and Kashmir, Ladakh, Himachal Pradesh and Uttarakhand from 8 to 12 February, which may also affect the weather in Haryana.

If we look at the temperature, the lowest minimum temperature in the state was recorded at 6.6 degrees in Sonipat. The temperature was recorded at 7.2 degrees in Karnal, 7.4 in Hisar, 7.3 in Fatehabad and 7.0 degrees in Sirsa, which is below normal.

Cold winds are expected to blow from February 10

Dr. Madan Khichad, Head of the Department of Agrometeorology, Chaudhary Charan Singh Haryana Agricultural University, Hisar, says that the weather in Haryana is likely to remain generally dry till February 12.

During this period, there is a possibility of change in winds from time to time. On 8th and 9th February, most parts of the state are likely to remain partly cloudy, due to which there may be a slight drop in the day temperature.

But from 10th February to 12th February, night temperature is likely to fall again due to the mild north and north-west cold winds. During this period, fog is also likely to remain in the morning and late night in some areas of the state.
