Many Congress leaders including MP Ravneet Bittu and Bharat Bhushan Ashu arrest; in judicial custody for 14 days

Ludhiana MPs Ravneet Singh Bittu, Bharat Bhushan Ashu, Sanjay Talwar and Sundar Sham Arora sent to 14-day judicial custody.

Bittu, Ashu, Talwar and other Congress leaders, along with hundreds of their supporters, gathered outside the commissioner’s office to give their court arrest in connection with an FIR registered against them in connection with the ruckus outside the Ludhiana Municipal Corporation headquarters last month.

Speaking to the media before his arrest, Bittu said: “If we can be booked for locking the MC office, then FIR should be registered against CM Bhagwant Mann also as he also got a lock inside Vidhan Sabha and asked the Speaker to lock the gate. Being the CM, he violated the rules and even got a lock for the Speaker. We will continue to lock corrupt offices which are looting the public due to the inefficiency of the current government.”

Congress workers creates ruckus before MP Bittu’s arrest, administration deployed police force outside CP office and Bittu’s house

A big news has come to light regarding the arrest of MP Ravneet Bittu and many other leaders in Ludhiana DC office. According to the information received, MP Bittu, former MLA Surinder Dawar and former MLA Sanjay Talwar have just reached the protest site outside the DC office.

During this time a large number of police forces are deployed. Let us tell you that MP Ravneet Bittu along with his associates will be arrested today in the matter of locking the Municipal Corporation Headquarters.


It is noteworthy that regarding the arrest, MP Bittu had appealed to all the party workers to reach the parking lot of Friends Regency on Ferozepur Road at 11 o’clock.

Due to this, Congress workers started gathering in the parking lot of Friends Regency. At the same time, news had come out that the police was placing many Congress leaders including former minister Bharat Bhushan Ashu under house arrest. During this time, police forces are also deployed outside their homes.

During this period the CP office has been converted into a police cantonment. A large number of Congress workers are gathering outside the Police Commissioner’s office and protesting.


Meanwhile, MP Ravneet Bittu reached the protest site where former MLA Surinder Dawar and former MLA Sanjay Talwar are also present. Police force is deployed to ensure that there is no commotion during this period.

The Kotwali police arrested M.P. for forcibly locking the Municipal Corporation office. A case was registered against 60 unknown people including Ravneet Bittu, former minister Bharat Bhushan Ashu, former MLA and District Congress President Sanjay Talwar, former deputy mayor Sham Sudar. This case was registered on charges of obstructing government duty.
