Mumbai: Dua Lipa recently surprised fans at her Mumbai concert by performing a mashup of her hit “Levitating” and the classic song “Woh Ladki Jo Sabse Alag Hai” from the Shah Rukh Khan film “Baadshah.” After the performance, she responded to a fan’s Instagram reel, which humorously asked if SRK attended the concert, saying, “I had to, too much fun!!”
The mashup, created by DJ Ruchir, quickly became a viral sensation. Dua Lipa expressed her excitement about the mashup, stating she was “blown away” when she first heard it and called it “amazing.” The concert took place at the MMRDA Grounds in Bandra Kurla Complex as part of the Zomato Feeding India Concert.
However, not everyone was pleased with the mashup. Jay, the son of singer Abhijeet Bhattacharya, took to social media to criticize Dua Lipa for not acknowledging his father’s contribution to the original song. He expressed his disappointment on Instagram, pointing out that the media often neglects the artists behind the music in favor of actors. Jay emphasized that Abhijeet’s name should be recognized in discussions about the song, lamenting that singers rarely receive the credit they deserve. He also highlighted that the song’s popularity is due to the talents of artists like Abhijeet and Anu Malik.
