Faisal Malik to return as professor in streaming series ‘Swipe Crime’

Mumbai: Actor Faisal Malik, known for his portrayal of Prahladcha in the popular series ‘Panchayat’, will take on the role of a professor in the upcoming streaming series ‘Swipe Crime’.

The trailer, released on Wednesday, highlights the journey of first-year students at Gyanshakthi University—Vidhan, Brian, and Rounak—alongside social media stars Simran and Mahima. Their initial excitement filled with pranks and friendships quickly turns dark when an online scam leads to the tragic suicide of their senior, Mallick, shaking the campus to its core. The group becomes trapped in a troubling mix of deception, ambition, and digital peril.

Discussing his involvement, Faisal Malik commented, “‘Swipe Crime’ skillfully blends high-stakes cyber deceit with deep emotional drama, exploring modern life and the dual nature of technology. It has been rewarding to be part of such a thought-provoking project, which I believe will keep viewers enthralled while providing plenty to ponder.”

The series also features Rishab Chadha, Mugdha Agarwal, Sanyam Sharma, Riya Deepsi, and Rajesh Sharma.

Rishab Chadha, reflecting on his character Vidhan, added, “‘Swipe Crime’ resonates on a deeply personal yet universal level. Vidhan’s journey captures the hopes and fears shared by young individuals navigating campus life amidst the challenges posed by technology. Bringing this character to life was a memorable experience, and I think the series will leave a significant impact on its audience.”

The series is set to premiere on December 20 on Amazon MX Player.
